Fr. O'Connor founded Family Promise of the Capital Region after learning how successful this model of care was in other regions of the country.  His goal was to unite faith communities to serve homeless families to transform both participating volunteers,  and the families experiencing homelessness. Fr. O'Connor was instrumental in forming the Interfaith Hospitality Network which began serving families in April, 2015.
